Have a 2001 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. Tried to start today. Key goes in fine but cannot turn to start. Steering wheel seems like it's turned to the right a little. Open Door chimes rings; theft light on dash flashes. Was fine yesterday - have had no problems.Happened once over a year ago - but when husband tried, it was fine. Do I need to turn the steering wheel to unjam or something. Have tried but can't get it to move.

It appears to have history. A bit worrying you say 'kinda changed the filter and fluid'. Most are sealed for life, and the amount of fluid is critical. If you drain, you measure what comes out and replace with the same amount of the right type of ATF.
I'm guessing by the year that you have pretty high mileage on your SUV. If that is the case then you will probably need to rebuild front end. that should take care of the problem. Good luck.
