Check the 100 amp fuse. its the one bolted in. It will be hard to see but that will blow if the battery is connected backwards

Once you replace all the fuses under the hood and it doesn't start, try replacing the iginition power transistor. It cost around 200 and is right in front of the motor. It is very easy to do your self. Only a couple of bolts.

2002 jeep grand Cherokee that want start. They went to put new battery in put it in backwards an killed jeep. Now want start an the alarm is goin off. Will it start if i take security system out

No it won't start if you take the security system out . Because you can't take the software out that's programmed into the PCM/ BCM ! If the PCM - engine computer does not see a key code (pass word ) It will not start the car. Besides that , hooking up the battery backwards probably did more damage then that . Fried computers etc... I have see this more then once , the vehicle's never did work right again . Damaged instrument clusters , charging systems , ignition modules etc...

My dash lights went out when someone fried my battery by putting cables on backwards. Don't know exactly what happened. So don't know how to fix. Help please.

Many of today's cars have more electronics than mechanical items anymore. Rather than the old point-to-point wiring that was the norm, now the cars use computerized serial data buses to transmit control signals and the like. Hooking the battery of backward is a big no-no on these systems as it fries everything since the protection circuits aren't designed to ward off such errors. If you are having multiple electrical issues after a battery "backward boo-boo", you're best taking the car to an auto electric specialist and explaining what happened. They can assess the level of damage and can tell you if it may be cheaper to replace the car than repair it......

What do i do after installing starter and still no start but al other elec works and battery good? Could I have put wires to starter on backwards? 1994 GMC Suburban 1500.

generally the cables to the starter posts and the lengths of the wires help you put them on correctly, so i doubt that is the issue. why did you replace starter in the first place? what were the symptoms exactly?

Hooked battery up backwards

You need to take the Alternator in for a Bench check. The diodes are probably bad. Wiper switch or motor can be bad. Radio can be smoked.

For wiper motor, the contact points use a system where a derailer mechanically shifts the points to break contact. The contacts are probably fused.

I put my battery in backwards an snow it won't

That wire was probably a fuseable link which is designed to melt inside like a regular fuse.
Do you have voltage on both ends ? And are the other fuses getting power ?

I have a 2002 PT Cruiser That I put a new Batter in today but I put it in backwards and it started smoking, I called autozone and the told me that I had blown the Main Fuse or Batter relay fuse, but I...

This would typically be more of a fusible link than anything that looks like a fuse.

I'm not sure on a PT Cruiser, but they are usually on the fuse block, but in a different compartment with a separate cover. It will always be on the plus or positive or red side of the battery....
