Diahatsu YRV Engine system Code P1346

My Engine light stays on I took my vehicle to Toyota Trinidad they completed a Diagnostic which revealed the following code P1346.

They attempted to clear code but as soon as I made the block the light was back on
They changed the VVTI Controller but as soon as I made the block the light was back on
They changed the VVTI sensor but as soon as I made the block the light was back on
Can you offer some assistance

    My daughter has the same problem Toyota insisted it was the oxygen sensor at fault so had it replaced, now engine light comes on after about 5 mins. no solution forthcoming from Toyota.

I have got the same problem with terios
i fix it with multiscan plus and gives me p1346 valve timing
i erased it but it comes back again !!

1998 SR5 O/D Off Light

Well the obvious answer is that the auto transmission has a problem. The normal diagnosis would be the solenoid that engages 4th gear is faulty and the vehicle stays in 3rd gear. So you have to know the diagnostic code that comes up in this condition.

But just as a precaution first check if the engine coolant is at right levels and thermostat is functional. Sometimes fault in engine cooling system can also lead to the O/D light (over drive) coming up.

If you are unsure it is best to take the vehicle to an auto transmission specialist (not the Toyota service place) and get it checked. By the way should not be anything to worry telling your dad. It is nothing that you could have caused. Simple vehicle mechanical issues.

My car does not start it has a code U0156 diahatsu siron 2008

The standard description of Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) U0156 is "Lost Communication With Information Center "A"" This is a computer network fault. It could be due to a failed module or loss of power to the module. There may also be other faults in other parts of the system. If you are getting this code from the engine control module, the entire computer network in your vehicle needs to be tested/diagnosed. Many components can be affected by a single module that cannot communicate because several of the modules share the same data in order to make your vehicle function properly.

the p1346 code is deviation in crankshaft position and v v t i sensor signal.... chances are you're timing is worn out and will need to be replaced. sorry to say but this job is not for the diy (do it yourselfer) and again sorry

Toyota Rav4 D4D 2006,warning lights check engine,vsc,4wd system fault displayed. Took to dealer for diagnostic check ,error code p1238 injectors they said. quoted me £2100 to replace all units. only 2...

okay.how would the injectors have anything to do with the vehicle stability control/4wd.??if it were injectors at such a low mileage you would feel a real lack of power.now as toyota own diahatsu you could save yourself a fortune if you ask them to diagnose a fault!!to check vsc is working put car in 2nd and floor the pedal turning as tight a circle you can brave.it should stop the inside wheels from screaming....to check 4wd do the same and you will feel the car trying to pull itself apart.you will see what i mean.!!!

Code 1346 on 2002 toyota sienna

P1346 is the code for:
VVT Sensor /Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/ Performance Problem (Bank 1)
If the code came on just after the timing belt replacement more than likely the sensor was damged in some way during the work. The sensor is located in the same area the mechanic was working in while changeing the timing belt. You should have this checked right away. A faulty cam sensor can also lead to the vehicle not starting.
