You might have a bad relay. Locate the relay in the fuse/relay box. Use the diagram that's usually located on the inside or back of the cover. When you find it, look at the part number usually located on top of the relay. Look for another relay in the box that has the same part number. Switch that relay with the one you want to test. If the problem goes away then replace the relay.

Horn doesn't work

i would check the ground out inside the steering wheel before anything else. these can get bent or broken off during a good panic honk or during a fit of roadrage. once ok'ed i would have a helper with a test light or volt meter check the system as you honk the horn to find out where the voltage stops. where the voltages stops will be the problem

Horn randomly honks(very annoying while your trying to sleep) HELP!

its possible that the relay is the problem as most relays have a second power feed wire,if it shorts to the horn side of the relay it can blow the horn.doesn`t happen very often but it does happen.this could explain the horn blowing without the fuse in.you can get a door key made at a lock smith to solve that problem.

The horn on my 1997 Buick LeSabre started honking on its own. Sometimes I can stop it by hitting the horn pad hard, but it just stops for a few minutes and then starts again. I've had to have the...

Sounds like a short in the circuit, which may or may not be in the steering wheel. It might be, if hitting the horn button actually stops it for a while. Be careful with the airbag and remove the fuse before messing with it- I've heard a slight short will set it off.

The horn on our LeSabre starts honking on its own about 1:00 in the morning. Can it be fixed without taking out the airbag?

no. the horn switch is underneath the airbag, and if the horn is activating itself late at night (when it is cold) then the switch is most likely what it is. the cold makes the plastic around the airbag and switch contract, causing the horn to make contact. if you want to just silence the horn, you can remove the horn relay in the underhood fuse box. should be labeled in the owners manual

98 buick lesabre limited, horn started honking steadily. shut alarm off, got horn to stop. turned alarm on, same thing happened. had to lock car manually with key. do i have a short?

sounds like you have a short in the horn wiring or a bad ground wire these grounds are mostly located under the engine compartment near the back wall whitch is called the fire wall or beside the fenders

Horn

since heat caused the problem, i used cold for the fix.....there are several types of canned "FREEZE" that are used for electronic testing...i sprayed the steering wheel--twice. i think it released the weight of the steering wheel cover on the horn contacts...that or my prayers were answered......whatever the fix----currently AIN'T BROKE.....
