My 2008 hummer h2 service air bag light just came on at 52,000 miles. Is there a way to check if it is really an air bag problem or not?

Your vehicle is equip with air bag system. You probably experiencing an air lost due to air bags leaks or your leveling valve is exhausting air at the exhaust port. Here is what you do. Spray soap with water on spray bottle and spray around the air suspension area. when you see bubbles coming out that's the leaks. fix it. Good luck.

Put 12 volts directly to the compressor to make sure it is bad
& be sure it has a clean ground

Why would you bother with a dealer after the warrantee runs out ?

Never heard of the 200,000 repair shops available,with better
results & cheaper than a dealer.

You can't ask what something costs
You do not have any idea what ,if any problems you may have

I'm not exactly sure how to diagnose your problem. I do know that you can call Strutmasters.com and talk to their customer service team! They offer great non air conversion kits at a fraction of the price what you would have to pay for fixing this air!

It's not likely that the bags are leaking unless you see physical damage, it's more likely that the compressor exhaust solenoid is bad. There's an updated compressor kit available from GM that requires calibration after assembly. Not cheap.

u need to change/service the air compressor in ur car.
or it might be the air bags/sensors thats located next to the rear tires.

all you need to do is make sure you disconnect the negative battery terminal.reconnect after 5 mins. if it doesnt go away, then you have a problem with airbag system.

Your airbags probably have an air leak or are just starting to crack. Go to you tube and type in Suncore hummer suspension air bag replacement. They have a whole how to install that also show your suspension and how it fails
