Were is the EGR valve on dodge intrepid 2001

The EGR valve is on the passenger side cylinder head, and it bolts right to the rear part of it. If you remove the upper plenum, its very easy to remove and replace the EGR valve, but it can be done without removing the plenum also.

Hope help with this (remember rated and comment this).

ERG Valve on 97 dodge intrepid, I have been told you need to drop the engine in order to replace the ERG valve. Are they trying to justify a large repair bill that I would be presented with, if I have...

YES THEY ARE!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM! I hope you have it in writing that they told you that...because I would have them red flagged by reporting them to the Better Business Bureau! If you copy & paste the following link into address will see that the EGR Valve for your engine is easy to get at change WITHOUT REMOVING the ENTIRE ENGINE!

My check engine light came on in my 99 Intrepid and I got a P0404 code. The car stalled coming off the highway a couple of times. Is it the EGR valve?

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance
u either have a defective EGR valve position sensor or a valve that is sticking off the seat or both.

Egr valve dodge durango

if this is a 4.7l engine, the valve is on the left rear of the intake. loosen the 8mm bolts that hold the egr intake tube to the egr valve, remove the egr bolts, disconnect wiring, remove valve and tube together, attach intake tube loosely to new valve, install new valve, tighten tube bolts to egr using a swivel socket, this is not a 5 minute job, so dont attempt unless you have some time and patience.
