Is 189000 miles on a well cared for 2003 saab 9-3 too many?

in used car terms for deciding if the speedo/odometer reading is accurate , it is generally accepted that 12.5- 13K miles per year is average distance
So your reading would indicate that the car has had average use and would be accepted as about right for that year model

Saab 93 blower motor fan relay location

I tried the DIY service and repair manuals
from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and works perfect! got it from www.reliable-store.com

Speedo and rev counter reading even when engine is off!

I have a similar problems on my 2005 9-3. It has developed a number of minor electical issues. including dial and false warning light triggers. I have fixed most of them by simply going round the car disconnecting the electical connectors and spraying "switch cleaner" (Maplin or Radio Shack).
The only problem I have left is the rev counter occasionally starts reading high, removing the fuse (end of dash panel - 4th fuse down) for about 30s with engine off normally resets everything back to normal.
Hope that helps.

Saab 9-5 1999 won't go into reverse

ASE Mechanic:
Try checking the fluid level first, and then look for any leaks. if corrected right away you might not have to rebuild the trans. but other wise look into the cost of a rebuilt transmission.
