It is possible to get your Ford radio code for free. Take a look at this video tutorial :
Hello
Radio security codes are stored on the Ford factory information computer (called OASIS), we do not have the access to this computer data base, you can either get the code from the dealer or try one of the online sites that claim to have access to radio security codes, one such site is www.radio-code.com I think they charge around $10.00.
I suggest conact at this email... [email protected] and send this details.
They complimentsfor free advice + codes for Ford + most Blaupunkt plus many Philips, Grundig, CHRYSLER some Clarion + Becker+ a few others.
Hope helps.
Hello,
The only way to obtain this security code is through Ford directly. You will have to go to a local Ford dealership with proof of ownership and they can look up your security code. You can find local dealer locations at the link below,

you may be able to unlock it online, but it will cost money. I see this site does unlockshttp://unlockmyradio.weebly.com/ however you will need the serial number located on the radio itself which you have to take out.

Make this same statement to any ford or mercury parts dept salesman and they can type into frods database and tell you the code. Some dealerships make you prove you own the car but most just tell you. You can stopp by trhe parts dept and show them your car and they'll even help you type it in. In rare cases the the radio has been changed since the car was new they'll need the numbers off the radio, Model's and serial numbers and they can get you the code for that radio too.
In the USA they don't make a Laser in 1991, or in any other year for that matter. (L) the 10th VIN letter being 1991 1980=A 1981=B 2001=1 2002=2.
No tools are needed to trmove the radio og any ford product excet your bare hands the dash panel over the radio just snaps in anthe radio comes out with it. One quick yank and it's out, hanging by the wires

Try one of the following addresses, depending on where you are located. They claim to be able to supply Ford radio security codes.
www.radio-code.com or
www.instant-radio-codes.com/radio-codes-ford.php - United Kingdom
Most radios have two little plastics plugs on the front of the facia along each side. If your radio has these, make up two C shaped tools out of 3mm wire with about 75mm legs that will go into the holes of the plugs. This should release the clips that hold the radio in place. If it does not have this type of attachment you may need to consult a radio installation center.
You will find some more information and diagrams for the removal of radios at this site. You will need the radio's serial number to obtain the unlock code and possibly some proof of ownership- http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Rt1cNvhf1G5...

Hi,
You have to have the serial number off the radio, which means pulling from the vehicle. The easiest way is to get the serial number and go to a Ford dealership and they will give it to you.
Another way is to go to: >>>> http://www.fordradiocode.com/ Good luck,
I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Here is a video from youtube that shows you how to remove the radio. There are special U-clips for removing the radio. By looking at the video and the holes in your radio, you should be able to bend some wire to make them. >>>>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN_mYWmbQ... <<<<
The alternative, as I said before, is to go to a Ford dealership and they will get it for you.
The reason you have to go in to a dealership is why it is called a "Security" code.

Radio codes are not generic number. Unless you have the code that was supplied on a card when the vehicle was purchased, you will need to contact Ford and show proof of ownership of the vehicle for them to give this code to you. Security codes are to prevent theft and use, if the radio was ever stolen, and a generic code would render this theft prevention useless in preventing theft.
Unfortunately, tools are required for replacement. Also, when connecting the replacement radio to the electrical circuit, it is important that the power supply that is used, is not tied into any security or air bag supply wires.

Hello!
Please remove the radio from the dash board. Find the sticker where the information of the radio is printed. Post it here the model number and the serial number of the radio.
Then I will give you the code.
Look for your owner's manual the code is written. There is no way we can help you online without giving us the serial number of your radio.
If that would be the case. Take your car to your dealer and they will give the code to you together with the special charges.
Good Luck!
Hello sir!
We really wanted to help you.. Have you seen your owner's manual. The serial of the radio is printed on it. Post here the serial number that you can find so that we can help you out.
I must inform you that radio code is calculated using a special software serial calculator of your car's radio. But it needs first the serial number before it can be calculated to get your code.
If you can not find the manual, the possible solution is to manually remove the radio from the dashboard, because the serial number is written in the radio's body frame.
Post it here so we can help you past.

Hi,
You will need to get the papers that came with your car,
search all the documents that came with the car, the code to reset your
car radio is written on one of the documents that came with your car. If
you cannot get it, you will need to get the serial number on your radio
and contact the dealer for the reset code, because, the dealers have
the reset code, but you will need to tender prove of ownership before
this can be done.
This security code is used to prevent stolen radio to be installed in another vehicle. You also need this code when you disconnect the battery from your vehicle.
The security code is in your vehicle manual and if you no longer have this manual you need to go to your Ford motor dealer to get this code when you provide proof of ownership.
