I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 and I have changed the battery twice. The first battery was charged and the car ran fine for a few months. The last one that I put in the car is not ever a month old and it is dead, will not hold a charge and can not be jumped off. I have been told that it could be the starter going bad. Could you please help me solve this problem.

Bad battery. if fully charged should read 12.6 volts. bad connections to battery, faulty or dirty contacts in solonoid, starter motor running dry and needing a clean out and oiling

It can be the issue with weak battery or faulty battery or if battery is ok,then its faulty starter causing the issue.

I have a 1999 LS400 an the VSC light was continually coming and finally I disconnected the battery over night and that reset it and haven't had anymore problems.

Take your battery in for a load test. Betcha a cell has dried up. Will probably survive but I would still trade it in.

it sounds like the problem is the cats, if they get to hot they possibly have collapsed inside and is blocking the system they sound like they need replacing

take the cover off and then ask assistant to turn engine over whilst you check the belt
