What is your question ? If you are talking about using this code to program your new radio, you need to supply your local dealer with this number. They will put it in their system and then give you a 4 or 5 digit code to enter to your radio.
Call your Audi dealer with your VIN number and the above radio serial number. Some dealers look up the code for free (others charge for it). The are NOT required to give you the code. The code was provided to you in the operator manual (typically on a perforated card).
Press the FM2 and RDS buttons simultaneously and hold until
"1000" shows on the display. Release the buttons. Do NOT
press these buttons again, otherwise the radio will consider "1000"
to be the code.
Use Preset buttons 1 ... 4 to enter the four-digit code number
from your radio card. Preset button 1 corresponds to the first digit,
Preset button 2 corresponds to the second digit, etc. Each press of
the button increments the number by 1.
Once the code shown on the display is correct, press the FM2 and RDS
buttons simultaneously and hold until the word "SAFE" appears in the
display, then release the buttons.
The radio should unlock and be usable shortly afterwards.
If an incorrect code is entered, the word "SAFE" appears, first flashing
and then continuously. You can repeat the above steps to unlock the
radio once more, the number of attempts will be shown in the display.
If an incorrect code is entered again, you radio will be locked for about
one hour. After one hour - the radio must stay on and the key must remain
in the ignition lock - if the display goes out, the you can repeat the
above procedure to unlock again. The cycle - two attempts, one hour
lock-up - still applies.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for yours Audi Concert radio from the car manufacturer! For Audi Concert the sequence of programming is: 1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed. 2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt. 3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. 4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. 5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. 6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. 7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!
I have come to find out that in the 90's auto makers started installing factory amplifiers in their cars so they could use low wattage stereos in the dash. It's usually a blue wire off the stereo that runs the amp, maybe it couldve become disconnected? I also know that even if you put in an after market stereo, this wire must be hooked up or you'll get no sound from the speakers. hope this helps.
hold rbds and pscan till you see numbers then use the radio memory buttons to control the number you want to put in after the numbers are put in hold rbds pscan again till u see it says safe and radio works.
