Will it fire if you spray carb cleaner in the air intake ? We have to determine if its a fuel problem or ignition. If you are one of those people who allow the fuel to get so low the light comes on you likely burnt out the fuel pump they cannot take that kind of abuse more than maybe twice in their lifetime. Hit the bottom of the fuel tank and see if the pump Wakes up have the fuel pressure checked it musy be at least 65 PSI as soon as you turn on the ignition.

Why won't my car start?

try getting in a position to kick the fuel tank, as the fuel pump as someone turns the key in PARK as the fuel pump may be stuck, if that fails, troubleshoot the ignition. if kicking jars it to pump, check wiring or replace fuel pump.

1999 blazer only starts when primed and then wont start after sitting

Black smoke is usually extra fuel, but you say you are priming it to start so that could be why.
Have you checked fuel pump pressure before and after cranking ?

G ot a 1996 cavalier turns over but dont start when i turn ignition on i dont hear the fuel pump cycle an its not firing

Well, no.
The ignition system would not affect the fuel pump circuit.
I would suggest you check the fuel pump relay first and see if it has power and a ground signal from the computer.
Do you get a check engine light when you turn the key switch on ?

Car turns over.. wont ignite .. gages r reading zero!! Fuel pump or sensor??!

fuss ok? how about fuse link ?any light in cluster? when you turn ignition key to ''on'' position your dash lights should come on like engine , air bag , brake, etc and should turn off in few seconds if they dont come on, check the fuse panel for blown fusses. also check them for power with key on most of them should have power except a few that only power up when the engine cranks or runs. the fuss links are special pieces of cable that feed the susses they're designed to break when overheated and are on the positive battery cable in the starter side end . if the lights in the dash work as noted the security system may be active .

Sounds like you may need to check coil,Also could be your rotor bug in distrubtor. , Make sure your getting fire first, If not you an check your fuel pump, Can you here it come on when turn key to on position? Best of luck to you.

Changed fuel pump and fuel filter.. how do I get all the air out of the lines

When you turn the key on, you should have fuel pressure. If not, something is not right. (The fuel pump should cycle for a few seconds when you first turn on the key to "run")
