What wires do I need to jumper out to bypass the neutral safety switch on 2001 Saab 9-3 automatic

The neutral safety switch is an important component that prevents the engine from starting unless the transmission is in the neutral or park position. If you no longer have the switch, you can bypass it by jumping the starter relay. This can be done by connecting the two wires that would normally go to the switch directly to each other.

You will have to look for the neutral lock out switch on the gear shift lever or linkage and replace it, you might be able to find it in the counsel or go under the car to find it. you could splice the wires together and bypass it but thats not a good idea

If the engine will not crank in park or neutral, you may be able to jumper the brown pink and the tan red wires at the switch. I would not jumper them with the switch connected in the circuit.
I am assuming you have already checked the starter relay.

1.Shifter linkage could be out of adjustment, and not allowing the Neutral safety switch to be bypassed, when in the Park position.

The shift linkage, could move the arm of the neutral safety switch far enough, to bypass it when the shifter is in Neutral, but not far enough when the shifter is in Park.

2.Perhaps the Neutral safety switch is bad, or has come loose on it's mount, and is out of position.

I'm not sure what you mean by "neutral safety switch". I have the shop manual for this car (I also have a 2001) and there is nothing listed under "neutral" or "safety" or "switch" in the index that looks like it.
