You add it when engine is cold add it behind the thermostat, install thermostat,close up the system add coolant water in radiator top it off. start the vehicle and top off radiator bring to 1200-1500 RPM until thermostat opens cap the radiator, run until upper radiator has pressure and all the while maintaining radiator level.this way seals the seapage
