Next ime you dont start there should be a fuel tester shrader valve just like the tire shrader valve crank it and if it doesnt start check the fuel shrader valve see how much fuel comes out and if it dribbles you need a fuel pump and filter. also the 1989 are populat for intermittent due to the ICM recieving low signals, and the theory back then was what went out first spark or fuel. ICM and cam sensor and crank sensor was just replaced, Now that was the fuel injected part, 1989 there was still carburator that was being made at that time and the popular breakdown was fuel filter getting plugged.

1988 lxi honda accord battery drains overnight

Just a couple problems I've had. dome light left on due to faulty door open switch, spot light charger or equipment left plugged or wired to battery, lately I thought I had a bad battery but I just need to clean the terminal connections. One more thing if your car is running you can pull the negative cable off the battery. If the car dies your alternator could be the problem. If you have a light in the trunk or under the hood you could pull the bulb out to make sure you don't have a faulty switch turning them on. These are kind of simple and that is the way I start out.

My car doesn't always start after a rainy day.

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

We have a 1990 lebaron 56000 miles when it gets cold outside,like35 degrees sometimes the headlights will not go on until after the car is fully warmed up. the hi beams will always work but the headlights...

the old chryslers were very suseptable to dampness esp at 35 deg after car warms up the damp wires would dry off and the problem would go away some time this also affected the ignition and car would not start on damp or rainy days as well

Car is not starting when damp

Lincoln town cars are famous for this because the rear opening to the hood has been placed right over your distributor so; the rainwater just soaks your distributor. to fix this permanently get a piece of oil roofing paper cut it about 6' wide and glue it over the gap from under the hood this will keep your distributor dry

On really damp days, when start car, hear popping noise

Given the age of yougiWhen you say the car won't turn over I think you mean it will not finally start.

Wet weather starting troubles are normally due to the poor condition of the spark plug wires, coil, distributor cap and rotor.

Given the age of your car, you would not be out of line to replace the components I just mentioned on the good chance that is the problem. If you can do it yourself, it would save you the cost of a shop to do it. Let me know if you need some instructions to do this work. Otherwise, have a shop replace what they call the secondary ignition components. You might as well do spark plus while you are at it.

Good Luck

Starting in damp weather 1993 240 wagon, auto/od, 235k miles

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.
