In my 05 Saturn ION the factory installed alarm system ,started randomly going on and off,when the remote control locks the doors. Alarm activiates some times 5 minutes later,other times 10 minutes etc.Also the pwr door locks don't always lock,and I have one pwr window that doesn't open.I don't have a moonroof.Where is the entry control fuse,so I can check it? To arm content theft alarm.
1. Open the door.
2. Lock the door with the power door lock switch or
the remote keyless entry transmitter. The
SECURITY light should flash.
3. Close all doors. The SECURITY light should go off
after approximately 30 seconds. The alarm is not
armed until the SECURITY light goes off.

If a locked door is opened without the key or the remote keyless entry transmitter, the alarm will go off. The headlamps and parking lamps will flash for two minutes, and the horn will sound for 30 seconds, then will turn off to save the battery power.

The alarm tripping is often caused by a bad door or hood switch. Since the hood switch is always exposed to water and corrosion, that one usually goes bad first. Check that out. And no, you can't disable it.

You are not able to disarm the factory alarm on this vehicle. You will need to have it diagnosed. But the issues sounds to me like the key fob is bad and needs to be replaced

you may have a very sensitive alarm...or maybe there is a maufunction...I reccomend getting it inspected or at least looked at.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have a factory installed alarm the original factory key can activate the alarm by pressing the lock button twice(rapidly). The lock symbol is generally a symbol of a "locked" lock.
If there is no buttons on the car key or it is an aftermarket alarm, a key fab (a little alarm remote control with 2-4 buttons the size of a keychain) is needed to activate/deactivate the alarm.

Why not just get the factory PATS System working correctly. You can't remove the factory system,it's an integral part of you vehicles systems and processors

You can get new remotes and program them!!

Over a period of time most cars will drain battery. Clocks ,alarms and other bells and whistles that the new car have all need power.

well the alarm and door lock issue is due to a bad door switch,,,its telling the cars computer the door is open when its not causing the alarm to go off and the locks not to lock its works then doesnt the switch just freak vout then are ok,most likely d/side door switch its actually on the side of the dash a little rod that sticks out,,replace it if it still does it do the other side,but thats a common issue

Probably caused by Faulty door jam switch,unless has aftermarket alarm.Does it have a factory fob,Will have gm part# and 4 buttons.

most likely a door pin switch or trunk switch malfunction or switch adjustment.hope this helps
