Yes, this car carries the VATS system for security. Here is info and options to bypass. If you have problems, comment back on this post. Ive bypassed tons of VATS systems. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Car skips at constant speed, loses power, then dies.

Check fuel filter it might need replacing, then have fuel pump checked.

Replaced everything under the sun on our 87 olds delta 88...wont fire on its own but will fire and run fine as long as u shoot it with starter fluid. We replaced starter, fuel pump, filter, plugs, wires,...

Can you here the fuel pump running?no, check fuse, and pump relay. Check pump fuel pressure,at the fuel injector rail,or throttle body. Check for voltage at the top wiring on the fuel nozzel. While cranking look for pulsating voltage.None, test computer, scan system. let me know the outcome.

I have a 91 s-10 that wont run...fuel pump runs and I am getting fuel to the carb all brand new plugs and wires and ignition coil and module and new cap and rotor? fires up and dies out?

The fuel pump relay is at fault. The engine will start running off the oil pressure sensor for the 3rd wire connected to the sensor feeds power to the fuel pump which makes your truck start right up. When the engine achomplish the standard oil pressure as needed the sensor shuts power off by the PCM default system and turns on the fuel pump relay to continue working the fuel pump. replace the relay and you will be driving around again

No fire past coil

You need to pull the distributor cap and turn the engine over and see if the rotor is turning and check the wire from the coil to the cap.

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.
