We're running a Rochester Parajet Carb 2 on a Holden WB Ute. We've bought a Carbie repair kit. Installed the new gaskets and other components. Screwed it all back together. Placed it back in the engine bay... Linked everything up. Started first pop. Turned the car off left for a few minutes. Started it up again and few times. It appeared to splutter a little but when we gave it a decent ref it turned over again.
Took the WB for a quick spin around the block to see how it was running. Got around the corner and it began spluttering again and cut out. The Carbie is flooding the engine bay with fuel. Have we made a mistake when we put the carbie back together or is flooding an issue with this particular Carburettor??
Any advice or solutions to this issue would be much appreciated. Frustrated Holden Enthusiast

find a holden hx hz wb manual or go to a library and photo copy the pages needed or look at the link below if you can do it on your own. Replacing handbrake cable
Is that really Holden\'s fix for synchro? Go online to an owners forum and see what they say. Its a new one on me. Google Holden SSV synchro and see what pops up?
The cam timing to the crank timing is a bit tricky, it's 9 links from TDC to setup the cam from the oil pump, I suggest you go to your local mechanic and have him set it up, this is something you don't want to stuff up
besides the rim size you will need the profile of the tyres to get the circumference and the diff ratio even it is what you call a standard diff.. Holden has at least 3 cog ratios that are used to correct the speedo readings but unfortunately they only cover standard tyre profile Try speed shops to see if there are and other cogs available and another suggestion is to find a speed shop with a chassis dyno that can fit the cogs and test the readings without going on the road all the time .
Holden Rodeo 1989 2.6mpi , start and only runs for 2 or so seconds themselves stalls, after putting on a fuel peesure gauge, fuel looked okay and slowly dropping, found the ECM relay was intermittently switching on and off, gave it a tap and the engine kept on running, relay not repairable, replace with new part. Located in the fuse and relay box on the right hand side of engine bay next to battery. Hope this helps.
