Cycle the switch by your passenger wheel well (inside the car). Mine did the same thing after not driving for 4 months with the battery drained. In noticed the rear was lower than it should be. Once I turned the switch off then on, it leveled up.

Sounds like the seals may have failed in the air shocks themselves. I also think you may have a bleeder valve problem. Follow the lines back and check the bleeder valve to see if it is leaking when you have someone else turn the vehicle on.

Your airbags probably have an air leak or are just starting to crack. Go to you tube and type in Suncore hummer suspension air bag replacement. They have a whole how to install that also show your suspension and how it fails

Yes you can but you need to buy an airline kit . It comes with most manual air shock like for the old buicks etc. IT have a thin plastic air lines with nipplesand "O" ring seals that can be connect to your air shocks. There is also a T- fitting that is include that has an air chuck valve that can be manually inflated. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

Converting from the air ride suspension to the passive coil spring suspension will eliminate this problem. To fix your air system you will have to purchase the parts directly from the dealer which means the prices will be severely inflated. Check out Strutmasters website at: My Uncle converted his Cadillac Deville two years and has only had positive things to say about the effects! I hope this advice was of some help.

SOURCE: Discovery rear air suspension sitting down overnight

My car did this. I could actually park and feel my car raise up or down. Looking at my car it was sitting completely crooked as if I had hydraulics. lol I have a 2001 Discovery II. When I had it fixed at the dealer it was the rear airbag which is part of the air ride suspansion. I hope this helps.

My 1999 Ford Expediton rear Suspenesion isn't working. I replace a new battery after it was drained for sometime. My Car was not used for almost 4 months. Please help. I already drived for a 100 km but...

There is a bad relay that you have for the air suspension. If you have not used it for 4 month sitting in storage, battery drained, as long as your height sensor is good and there are no leaks in the suspension your going to be okay, call a shop and see if the know about air suspension and if they know how to jump the relay to activate or even test the relay to the air suspension you basically have a poor connection just like how battery can corrode so does the air susension relay you will find the relay in the front behind the fender around or under the haedlamp area. when you find it make sure the switch is on engine running e brake on some one with you wiggle it.

I Have a 1999 Ford Expedition(Eddie Bauer) and I cannot find out why The Rear Suspension Air bags wont inflate. The bags don't have any Leaks, I'm assuming the compressor is working because the front of...

I believe it has to b reset / retrained by dealer or mechanic who has ability to read what the vehicle is or isn't doing. If you don't hear the compressor running constantly, you most likely don't have a leak, basically it'll run long enough to level up the vehicle and you shouldn't hear it again. try and dissconnect the battery, for a minute or so try it again.

How to change rear air suspension on 1999 ford

The air suspension can be a tricky thing to mess with. When we were looking to replace just one of the rear bags it was going to be costly. My husband did some checking around online and found
They offered great products at a great price and we were very pleased with the outcome of the replacement of the non air system. If you are replacing the entire system you are looking at a pretty penny. I would check Strutmasters out before you replace the air on your Expedition.

I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.

Try jacking up the vehicle and putting it on jack stands letting the suspension hang down. Disconnect the battery for a few minuts and reconnect it and it should inflate the airbags and level off the suspension.
