Question about 2005 Infiniti FX35
2005 fx 35 is shaking at slow downs and engine is stopping. the service soon light is on - but it is not flashing... i just had the oil and oil filter changed and new tires put on. help! i am traveling with my kids and breaking down would not be a good t hing hours away from home! thanks-
Try resetting the CES by disconnecting the battery, waiting for 15-20 minutes, and reconnecting. Your ECM will have to relearn your driving style over the next 25 - 30 miles but should settle down after that. If the problem recurs, you may be due for a new battery.

SOURCE: Infiniti FX 35 stiff ride
The FX is a bouncy car, but it's necessary to accommodate it's good performance. You can try some aftermarket air shocks, or check into different tires. That should help.

SOURCE: Service engine soon light
in your manual inside your glove box it will tell you how to restet the service due soon message, or the mechanic should do it when he/she services your car.

You cannot reset the light, some people think that by disconnecting the battery you reset the ECM, as that may work on Fords or Chevy, it doesn't work on Infinitis. If the engine light came on because of a loose or missing gas cap, then once the cap is tightened past three clicks, the light will go off on its own. You are going to have to take it to either AutoZone, a dealership or to an independent shop and have the Consult II diagnostic computer retrieve and clear the stored codes. AutoZone does this for free. That's where I suggest you start.
