It is hard to find a distributor for a car that didn't have one !!!!
First check if crank but no start condition; coulr be some fuel pressure failed or starter go to bad.
Also check spark in sparkplug.
spark plugs showed not enough voltage the mechanic said which is why he's thinkin it's the distributor but i's been hell trying to track one down for my car...
Then, check distributor, its possible that is bad; how long time tune up your car?
yea thats what i'm trying to do. .but everything distributor we've tried doest fit.. and he's like aggrivating me because he'll say this one should defniitely fit.. like stop guessing dude and know what fits and what doesnt . i check only and they say it's two different fittings but i'm starting to think its a unique one that was built for my car because when i tell you we've tried a couple different ones more like 5 so far and i'm almost at wits end.. on the very to seling the car for parts
Keep in mind that also you have Ignition Coils and Ignition Module there; nee to test all components about ignition system.
my mechanica says that the coils are built into the distributor .. it kinda feels like he's giving me the run around he damn near had my car for almost a month.. it/s a 94 mazda 626 lx m.t. what else could it be.. on friday he put in the distributor the new one and he said it cut on idle for like 4mins and cut right back off? :(
