It's on the inside of the cylinder head at the rear of the engine. Will be hard to see it because the intake plenum hides it. where to locate the camshaft ...

is this the single or twin cam, the later has 2 cam sensors.
all cam sensors are sensors that measure cam speed and timing.
so attach to them. thus the name....
only exception is old engines with distributors. (cmp is here)
do the flash codes look ok, with the magic jumper inserted in the DLC connector?
if not starting (you never said) then place the jumper and crank for 5 seconds, got CMP error flash codes???????????????????????

its all there, the 3.2L is one of the most difficult to time.
so guessing will not work. reading the FSM or alldata.com is a win (factory service manual) win. read all the words and steps.
then ask about things not clear.....

idlers are not timed, just crank to cam.....
alldata.com has the timing setup for this, log in and read?

you never stated the job, just the belt bad? or cams out, or cogs off? what was fiddled so far.....???????
ill assume the cam gears are untouched.




step 3 on install states
"If any binding is felt when adjusting the timing belt tension by turning the crankshaft, STOP turning the engine, because the pistons may be hitting the valves."

could be a starter motor, but i would always start with a main fuse to find the main fuse is quite difficult best to phone up main dealer and ask them whare it is, it a fuse that runs along your main bat terminals, its larger than a main fuse , but can look similar

on the side of the block on the passenger side....u can see it through the wheel well
