1999 mazda 626 wont start

I was driving back from a fishing trip and the car was running great. stoped at a gas station shut the car off got gas paid and came back out the car started right up as usual for about 5 sec.s then it stalled when I tried to restart it it just kept turning over. after a few tries it starts up at a real low idle and when I try to give it gas its like my gas pedel ant working. I put it in drive to try to drive forward with it now running with a low idle it just sputters a lilttle and dies anyone have any advice?

I have a 1999 Mazda 626, I was driving and the car just shut down, The engine turns but won't start.

Seems like you lost fuel pressure. Have the fuel pump checked and see how many pounds you have at the motor.

Check fuel pressure at injector rail. Also verify transmission fluid level.

Need to know where the fuel filter is located please to replace

do you mean it wont start ? if it runs but feels like its low on fuer try running it ( not driving it ) with the fuel cap removed and see if this cures it the air vent maybe blocked and causing a vacume in the tank , hence the fuel will struggle to get to the engine , , worth a try
