I have a 1995 Audi A6 QUATTRO with an automatic trans. that has developed an
occasional hot starting problem . I drive to a store , go shopping come out
to find that the car will not start. It just turns over, I have a feeling it
may be a weak fuel pump but I am new to the audi v6 engine. If I let the car
sit several hours, then it starts just fine.
Anyone out there have any help for me?

oil type is either 5W-30W or 10W-30W depending how cold your climate is, as far as having the car properly taken care of, the Audi dealer is the best option, they have all the proper tools and service info needed to keep the car in top running condition.
The trans don't have a dipstick, they have to be checked at a dealership with a vag tool, they have to be checked at a certian temperature of operation, as far as fluid i would use the audi recommended G-052-162-A2 atf fluid required
