Change the brake light switch behind your brake. You can get it at the dealership for less than $10. Takes a few minutes to install.

What can WEwedo to solve the problem that our 96 Pontiac Grand Am has, it starts everytime but dies after runnng a few seconds. We have tried the start it 3 times and leave the key on for 10 minutes...

If your security light is flashing it sounds like it's security locked and the only way tho unlock it is to go to a GM dealership to have it reset usually running you around $75.

Everytime you trie to start my 1997 Jetta G.O. the alarm goes off, how do i disconnect the alarm without unhooking the battery?

Try unlocking it from the passenger door (with the key). the driver door lock has a weak connection that wears out, then the car doesn't "know" you unlocked it from driver's side. Do you have the key fob to unlock it? If so, use it (unlock) then open the pass. door.
Please let me know if this worked! -Tom

I cnt get it to shut off i tried putting the key in the drivers side and unlocking the car but it does nothing

if you are talkling about ur alarm system...theres a hidden switch somewere in or under the hood of your car it says on and off...but there are some cars that the alarm system is built in so all you need it the remote for your car to disarm happened to me when i was on vacation and i had to get a family member to send me the remote i hope i solved your problem :)

Wont start when it is hot outside

This is an easy one :-) Hondas of this vintage have a very common problem with the main fuel injection relay. It's way up under the dashboard on the drivers side. It will have "Mitsuba" printed on the side. Replace this relay, it should be available at any parts store.

Transmission locking up

If it has been sitting for ten need to do an engine oil change, and a transmission fluid and filter change.

Ad some fuel stabilizer to the gas tank also. It is available EVERYWHERE.
