How To Install Replace Engine Serpentine Belt Volkswagen Beetle 1AAuto.com ... Well, the serpentine belt on my Bugbroke. And, didnt know ...
You cant its that simple ,try the spare key in case your key has been in your bag next to a mobile phone which will wipe the chip in the key ,if that doesnt work call the dealer
valet keys usauly dont have a chip in them but if it does you can try to put the key in the ingnition and turn it on the on position for a few minute so the car can learn the key if this does not work only a dealer or a lock smith can program it
Hopefully you are using the same ignition key you had before to start the car. This flip module mhas a chip that tells the system you have the proper key. If for some unknown reason the system lost this program it is probably a dealer only problem. The chip is inside the fob right near the key itself.

I would strongly recomend you dont tackle this job. They are NASTY.Even qualified VW techs would shy away from it.Once the dash is out the support bar and the heaterbox needs to be removed and they are a pain.Sorry i know its no help but its sound advice .Cheers
Check that the key still has the chip inside. If not then this can be solved by having a 'virgin key' coded up to your car using the long number on the back of the clocks. Also try disconnecting the battery for a few mins, reconnect, then use the normal method to start it. If this fails then its a case of following the wires back from the immobiliser and disconnecting.
