Try this first. With the reservoir full and the engine running tap the
reservoir with a rubber mallet repeatedly. The key word is tap (you can
get a little aggressive). try this for about 5 minutes or so. If the
light goes out problem solved. More often than not this will work.
If that doesn't work the reservoirs are available aftermarket for about 50 dollars and come with the low coolant sensor. I have installed several of these and most of the time they work just fine. Every once and a while I will get one that doesn't seal up correctly.
I would highly recommend calling your local ford dealer to see if the low coolant sensor is serviceable (i don't think it is) and if not replacing the reservoir with an O.E. one from ford.

YOU CAN REPLACE LOW COOLANT SENSOR ITSELF. WITH OUT REPLACING THE WHOLE EXPANSION RECOVERY TANK.
