Find the Key, Pray, Get praying friends to pray and who knows it may just turn up. Are you sure there is no other key around for it, (Previous owner?). Having security in the computer means replacing or resetting the system to insecure which costs about the same as the Key. Looks like you cant afford to NOT have a spare key.
Without knowing the resistance of the pellet on the key the anti -theft system will not allow it to start .

the short answer is no. with a wiring diagram and the right tools you may be able to bypass the PATS system but it involves the engine computer. there are aftermarket devices that are supposed to bypass the system for remote start, but you still need a key with the right chip.

you can bring your title to your local GM dealer, and they can make you a key from your VIN number. it is slightly more expensive then a regular key, i believe around the $40 area - not the insanely expensive generation of key.
your key will have a chip in it that is read by a reader in the ignition barrel. you have to have the key with the chip, and the reader working together to allow the ignition system to work. That is the imobiliser system not allowing you to start the motor. refer to a dealer to fix.
Check the ignition and Engine relay switches located under the hood. Sometimes relays go weak with age and even a bump on the road will shut them off. If you can turn the truck on, take it to Autozone or similar store for a free DTC scan code.
