SOURCE: timing chain wear

That is correct. If your engine is whinning at about 2000 rpm's and its a high pitch whine, you need upper timing chains and chain tensioners. aka plastic gizmo as you called it. The timing chains ride off the plastic portion of the tensioner causing the noise, basically the chain is riding on steal stub from within the tensioner, that's where the noise is coming from. Waranree on this is 5years or 60000 miles which ever comes first. And the new tensioners are updated parts.

My 2005 Nissan Armada will go in ear but car will not move. I am currently driving with the manual gear, which is working fine. Why is this???

Most likely solenoids are out. Did you have it rebuilt or just a transmission swap? Since you can manually shift it, I would go with the solenoids or the entire valve body.

The condensor fan on my 2005 nissan armada won't

There is a recall on those fans. I would check with your closet Nissan dealership to see if you have an open recall on your truck.

Timing chain replacement

Easy. Nissan almost always ran on timing chains esp the trucks. You will not have to worry abt changing the timing chain ( if ever ) to usually at least 250,000 or 300,000. I seldomly have heard on anyone changing them though.
