is it an ignition [loss of spark] =fuel issue [fuel pump--filter] scan vehicle for codes active or pending ---usually fuel pump--cat converter--short in wiring dont pull a code --
Faulty fuel pump return valve causing fuel to drain back to fuel tank , connect a inline fuel pressure gauge start engine , note pressure stop engine pressure could drop a few psi then hold , if pressure drops close to zero replace valve or pump .
Dump a tiny bit of gas, just a splash, into the front barrels of the Holley and crank the engine. It will start and die. do it again until the fuel is up and it keeps running. If it don't keep running, your either out of gas in the tank or you have blockage in the fuel line from tank. That's all it could possibly be. Period. Fuel pump is making pressure and pulling, it WILL work.
Don't let the car run out of gas. Fill the tank and run until the tank is half empty. Again fill the tank.
By driving until you run out of gas, you are letting sediments/dirt collected in the bottom of the tank to enter the engine. Rather they will block the fuel filter. Then gas will not reach the engine.
Clean the gas filter and your car will run fine.
The same advice again. Don't drive until the tank becomes empty.
yea you have no fuel and sound like a bad harness and the gm's are know for there fuel pump harness's! did you change it when you changed the pump? there is a lose connection somewhere in the fuel delivery system and it's pretty simply! i would check the fuel pump relay on the left hand side of the engine compartment and maybe even put power to the pump at the relay position "b" on the fuel pump relay harness and there should be a one pin connector to put power to also connected to the same position on the relay "b" the wire should be tan and white! good luck
