Hello,
Black smoke is usually a sign of the accelerator pump set wrong, s a choke plate could be partially closed and it could also be a really really clogged air filter. Being a 2011 I would check the air filter and if this is not to bad then I would take it to the dealership and have them take a look. It's not often a car blows black smoke and it is still under warranty.

Regards, Tony

Thirty years or more out of date. Today's cars are fuel injected and have no accelerator pump no choke plate. black smoke indicates over rich fuel injection or not enough air flow. OBD test should identify the problem.

This is a question from 2011. A 2009 was still under warranty which is why the dealer would deal with it. You will need an OBD II not OBD.

2011 buick enclave driver side blow hot air passenger side cold air but a/c bottom want stay on.

All these things are vacuum actuated and must have vacuum thru the lines to make the blend doors/flaps work properly to make the air go where you wish it to go. Check that all vacuum lines are connected to these actuators properly and that they are getting vacuum to them from the control panel. Vacuum to control panel must come from the engine to a reservoir, a black plastic ball on the passenger side at firewall under hood and from reservoir thru firewall to control panel. Check that you have vacuum at all connections.

Black smoke comes from exaust when I start. Could it overfuel and how can I fix it if its a new carb on my 88 2e 12valve

assuning there is nothing major wrong, get some forte injector and use it as recommended. I once had a renault laguna diesel fail an MOT test, a roadworthiness test that is, on emissions...it was absolutely chucking out black smoke but the engine ran well. I put 2 bottles of injector cleaner in the half full tank and went out for an eighty mile drive revving the engine in the lower gears. I returned to the testing station an hour and a half later and the engine was running perfectly.
Alternatively, assuming the engine runs well but is just a little smokey, have it terracleaned, this will remove most of the carbon deposits from the engine/exhaust and should increase the life of your engine simultaneously improving fuel economy

Black smoke from tailpipe, loss of power, anyone know?

What year, make and model car is this? Most likely, black smoke is
usually a carburator problem. If it's fuel injected, black smoke can be caused by 1) leaking or faulty fuel injecters, 2) faulty choke, 3)dirty air
filter or 4) faulty distributor cap and/or rotor. Hope this helps.

Why do i get black smoke when i boot it hard out of the exhaust

Black smoke is caused by excess fuel that has entered the cylinder area and cannot be burned completely. Poor fuel mileage is also a common complaint when black smoke comes out of the tailpipe. Black smoke out the tailpipe is the least cause for alarm. Excess fuel will usually effect engine performance, reduce fuel economy, and produce a fuel odor. Some of the causes of excess fuel are a carburetor that is out of adjustment, a faulty fuel pump, a leaky fuel injector, or a faulty engine computer or computer sensor. If black smoke is present, check the engine oil to make sure excess fuel has not contaminated it. Do not start the engine if a heavy, raw fuel smell can be detected in the engine oil.
