2006 Mazda 6 Logo

I had a new battery installed and i guess it affected the power windows. None of the windows will go down with there controls. The master control on the driver's side goes down but it cannot bring the others down. I know that the Mazda 6's have like a code that involves pressing the master control buttons in order to fix the problem but I,m not sure how to do it.

I had the same thing happen. Took the car to the Mazda dealer and it took the guy 2 seconds to reset the system. He opened my passenger door, rolled the window down with the control on that side, and then had me try my controls on the driver's side. And wouldn't you know it, the stupid thing worked. He said it was a computer reset trigger that doesn't always work when a battery is changed. Anyway, other than trying that, I would suggest taking it to a Mazda dealership and asking for help.

Crown Vic 2005. Driver side window won't work, up or down. Rear passenger window on driver side works down with the master control but won't roll back up. Rolls up only with rear door control. Why?

This is most often caused by a bad master switch on the driver's side. It's the one that's used most often and most exposed to rain. Also, all the window wiring runs through the master switch, so if there's a fault it can affect multiple windows. See this post on window issues.https://ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/window-goes-up-but-not-down/

Which fuse works the windows for the 02 aztek

Doesn't have fuse for power windows . Has circuit breaker ,
System circuit breaker (POWER WDWS Circuit Breaker 30A )
Those rarely go bad .
Power Windows System Components
The power window system consists of the following components:
• Window master switch
• Front passenger window switch
• LR window switch
• RR window switch
• Window motors in each of the doors
• System circuit breaker (POWER WDWS Circuit Breaker 30A)
Power Windows System Controls
The power windows system can be controlled by a power window up or down switch activation.
Driver Window Operation
When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCY position, or retained accessory power (RAP) is enabled and the window master switch is activated to the DOWN position, battery positive voltage is applied to the window motor causing the window to open. When the window master switch is activated to the UP position, battery positive voltage is applied to the window motor in the opposite direction and the window closes.
The window master switch also controls the front passenger, LR, and RR windows.
Express Down Feature
The driver window will travel to the fully down position when the window master switch is pressed past the first detent. Activating the window master switch to the UP position will cancel the express down feature.
Lockout Switch Feature
The window master switch has a lockout switch which disconnects the battery positive voltage to the LR and RR window switches, disabling them.
Individual Window Operation
When the ignition switch is in the RUN or ACCY position, or RAP is enabled and an individual window switch is activated to the DOWN position, battery positive voltage is applied to the window motor causing that window to open. When the individual window switch is activated to the UP position, battery positive voltage is applied to the window motor in the opposite direction causing that window to close.

The only way to find the problem would be to view wiring diagrams an test the electrical circuits with a volt meter .

Tried it today and none of the windows work from master switch on drivers side except ft passenger window, which went down but will not go back up.

You can't put up the front passenger window with it's own switch ? Did you check the POWER WINDOW RELAY in the instrument panel fuse / relay box ? An you checked POWER fuse 30amp same fuse box ? All window switches have direct power from power window relay !

My power windows on 2003 Pontiac Vibe quit working.

If all other switches work then I would say it's your master switch but if not then you have a electrical problem.

The windows on my crv wont work

at all stations?
all fuses, in both boxes. (did you read the operators guide to find them,
some cars have a circuit break (thermal) for windows,
and is located in the fuse box.
all this info is at alldata.com
ill look. ill respond , as you are a pro DIY person, can read schematics. if not , its just a guessing game.
IT IS a FUSE, not a breaker. but each motor in door has CB.
UNDER HOOD 40am Fuse #13
then fuse 23 underdash and fuse 8 same.
then the relay.same place.
and the relay is controlled by, master station (drivers)
the driver location doesnt need the relay to work.
the relay feeds power to all other window controls
so the master station is unique.
log in to alldata.com and see the pages on power windows.
here are some tid bits.
battery pull warning

Resetting the power window control unit is required after performing the following procedures: Disconnecting the battery, Removing the No. 6 (7.5 A) and/or the No. 23 (20 A) fuses from the under-dash fuse/relay box or disconnecting the driver's door wire harness.
and
window relearn/reset.
Control Unit Reset
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  2. Move the driver's window all the way down by holding the driver's switch firmly down; when the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver's window switch firmly down for 2 seconds.
  3. Move the driver's window all the way up by holding the driver's switch firmly up; when the window reaches the top, hold the driver's window switch firmly up for 2 seconds.
  4. If the window does not work in AUTO, turn the ignition switch OFF and repeat the procedure.
  5. Check the window and power door lock operations

I have a 06 dodge stratus the window was workin fine from the drivers panel u couldnt use the passenger buttom to roll down but it was rollin up then it started gettin harder to roll down from the drivers...

No relay involved , could be the driver door master switch . But i see more broken wire's inside the flex boot from the body to the driver door . All the power window switches get power from driver master switch . Look for a broken tan (B+ ) supply or black ground wire . Without testing ,this would be just a guess . Take hold of the boot an wiggle .

Power windows locks and mirrors

Sounds like the master switch is not plugged in properly, this is the switch in the driver's door.

None of the power windows work.No local or master controls work.

start by checking fuses, then relays. if the main switch goes on driver's door goes out then none of them will work.... i would recommend a new switch not a used one.

None of the windows work even after new swicthes

If you have replaced the switches with no result then you probably have a bad relay. Check the fuses and relays that control the windows. You can find there locations in the fuse box and/or power distribution box using your owners manual.
