Car overheating Optional Information 2000 Lincoln ls 3.9 Already Tried: replace thermostat got it from the dealer...this is the second time . i replace the thermostats a year ago....The car ran good for about a year I just replace the thermostat again...you think the new is sticking? when i turn on the ac car will start to overheat. if i turn it off the car to return to nornal...this car did this a year ago. I put two new thermostat in and it was still over heating(i got the thermostats from advance auto)and i went and got one from the dealer that cost 25.00 and it worked. thats only been about a one year and now its still overheat again. I was thinking maybe it had a air pocket and maybe it needed to be bleed Well today I change the water pump and the car is still over heating when i turn the air con on after it has been running for about ten minutes...if I don?t turn the air on the car seems to be fine. when the air is on both fans on turn on

the dealer didn't want to fix it so he fobbed you off
overheating could be low oil or over full and as it is a Ford product , probably has a sealed transmission so with the light on you take it seriously
I suggest that you take it to an accredited professional auto transmission shop and have it properly diagnosed
if it is a sensor , that will be a lot cheaper than a transmission
