I have a 2002 Chevy 1500 Silverado, all the sudden started cutting out, very low performance and just about died, even started knocking. I ran the check and came up with PO756 Shift Silenoid performance, PO 171 Bank 1 System too lean, 0174; Bank 2 system too lean, Po131 and 137 oxygen sensor curcuit low voltage for bank 1 sensor 1 and 2 and also codes Po151 and 187 oxygen sensor Bank 2 sensor 1 and 2. Could this all be caused by a bad fuel filter? Any other ideas? Thanks

Check the pressure in the Freon lines. There are low and high limit switches that can interrupt the system and it appears to be related to pressure. The pump may not be working at optimum performance. It will take a manifold pressure gauge set to check this.
if theres a knock when you start it and it goes a way after it warms up you may be a little low on oil or cuz its a chevy it just needs to warm up before driving naturally a bigger engines gonna take longer for oil to move through all the parts especially in colder weather. maybe even check and see if it needs a valve adjustment.
Wouldn't happen to be a diesel, would it? If so, do a search on ebay for a remote fsd/pmd module. Fixed my 95 'rado (in less than 20 minutes) with a 6.5 turbo diesel -it would stall wherever and whenever it wanted, without warning.
It's hard to figure out whats going on with out any codes. Im thinking maybe the fuel pump. To check it after it stops and doe'snt start squirt some starting fluid into the carb and see if it wants to start. If it trys to start then it's a fuel problem.
Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter first. If it was the fuel pump, and being electric. It would have not restarted again if the pump has gone bad. The fuel filter should be replaced every 1,500 miles or once a year to ensure that your fuel system is running 100% and will not burn out your fuel pump early due to extra heat generated from working harder then is should. Good luck and keep me posted.
