Need code for my radio in 2005 honda pilot

look for a small sticker inside the glove box or inside the owners manual.
If you cannot find it, pull the radio out and get the serial number off the unit, then contact a honda dealership service drive.

Tell them you changed the battery and need a code for the radio.
Have the radio serial number handy and maybe the VIN number from the suv.

They will give you a code to use.

Where do I find the serial number(and in what format) of the Jaguar car radio?

I had to change the battery in my 1999 S-Type, you will need the radio code, I also needed to reprogramme the board computer which is easy if you have your manual at hand, also the car might act strangely for a while, but this is explained in your users manual, nothing to worry about.

Reset radio code for Acura RL 1996

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio. It will require pulling apart your dash. You start at the air vents directly on top of the radio. These tend to be fragile so be carefull when pulling them. You use something skinny like a credit card to wedge between the vents and the trim to release them. Both vents will come directly out in one piece. From there twist off your shift knob. Remove the ashtray. Then pry up the wood trim of the center console. You will then have access to 4 or so screws that hold the radio and climate controls in place. The entire thing comes out as one piece as well. You should see your serial at that point.

I have a 1999 cabrio changed the battery now radio is asking for code I do not have the code what is my solution is there a default code i can try

Probably depends on the year/model of the VW. For a 1999 through 2002 Cabrio, you would need to do this: obtain the unlock code that was shipped with the vehicle. If you don't have the unlock code, your local dealership can pull the radio and look up the code with the serial number. Once you have the unlock code, then turn on the radio. You should see SAFE displayed. After about 3 secs, "0001" should appear. Use the station preset buttons 1 through 4. Preset 1 changes the first digit of the code, and preset 2 changes the second digit, etc. Enter all 4 digits of the code. After code is entered, press right side of "Seek" button for about 2 seconds, until an audible signal is heard. If you hose up and get the wrong code...will go back to SAFE displayed. You will get another chance to enter the code. After 2 failed attempts, you have to wait 1 hour again for it to unlock. So carefully enter the correct code the first time.
Volkswagen uses the radio lock feature to prevent unauthorized users of your audio system and will not allow your radio to operate without the proper unlock code.
Volkswagen began using the anti theft feature around 1990 and is still in use in most Volkswagen vehicles today!
Step 1 - Retrieve radio serial#
Your vehicle requires that you remove the radio from the vehicle in order to retrieve your radio's serial number.
Number will start with vwz.Must be a 14 digit number. You must include all numbers and letters included in the radio serial#, including "vwz". Radio serial# Found on chassis of vehicles radio. You must remove the radio from the vehicle in order to retrieve the radio serial number. This number may be stamped in the metal, on side of radio.

Step 2 - Retrieve vehicle V.I.N #Vehicle identification number.Usually found at the bottom of drivers side window.
Step 3 - Purchase code at

http://www.radio-code.com

  • You will receive your radio unlock code, via email.

  • Approximate code retrieval time is 30 minutes to 24 hours.

To do it yourself you will need to have the radio removal keys to unlock the radio compartment .
look at this site and you will have an idea :

Unlock radio code

GETTING THE RADIO SERIAL NUMBER: <BR>
2000 - Carefully take the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out. Wiggle the radio out about two inches, it is a tight fit. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side. Call a Mitsubishi dealer with the serial number. They will want proof of ownership, so have the title ready. After putting in the four digit serial number, hit the cd button and that enters it.The code is also written on an antitheft card that comes with the car and may be written in the owners manual in one of the back pages.
<BR> 1999 - Carefully remove the cup holder by pulling it out, then you will see the sticker with the radio serial number.
<BR> Other Years - I don't know an easy way to get the radio serial number, find a radio install savy person and ask them to help you. My dealership said they would do it for me and charge me for 30-60 mins worth of labor.. (At $75/hour) <BR> <BR>
RADIO SAYS "OFF" OR "LOCK": <BR>
Leave the "off" display on for 1 hour uninterupted, then it will automatically reset back to UNLOCK CODE.
<BR> When you turn it back on again after that time has passed it will ask for "code". <BR> <BR>
RADIO SAYS "UNLOCK CODE:" <BR>
Call your local MItsubishi dealership and ask for the service department.
<BR>They have a computer program where they punch in the serial number from your radio (you have to supply the number) and it will tell them the UNLOCK CODE for your radio. My dealership offered to give it to me free over the phone, if I knew my radio serial number. Enter the code using the buttons on your radio. And write the code down, this will show up everytime your radio looses connection to its power source - the car battery.

Honda Radio Security code

Did u look in the manual at all and on any of the pages or anything? Usually people write it down in the user manual somewhere or on a peice of paper with the user manual. I'm not 100% sure but i thought that u could go to the dealer and give your vin number and they should be able to get it for u from the computer, or call honda and get it with your vin. If you were told u can't by the dealer, then try another honda dealership to see what they say. I used to work at one like 4 years ago but i don't remember how they used to retrieve the codes for customers but i think like i said they could look it up by the vin to get the code. But double check around your user manual just to make sure. Hope this helped any, good luck

I have no idea what the radio code for my 93 honda accord ex is. Ive only had the car a few months. No paperwork came with it. All the dealerships are saying to bring in the car, and they can pull out...

The problem is the same as I have with my '01 VW. The radio self locks on power loss and the correct code must be entered on power-on. It's a theft deterrent idea that does work. So well in fact that without knowing the code, you're almost out of luck.

Now, each radio has a different serial number, and the code is listed by the radio's actual serial number. The VIN cannot tell you exactly which radio went into that car, so getting the code isn't really possible by just the VIN number. The best idea for you, pull the radio yourself (if you're able) then talk to the dealer with the actual serial number for the radio. Then can then look into the records for that radio on get the code for you. :) I hope this helps bud!

Reset 1992 Honda Civic radio code

The Unlock Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery. Use the Unlock Code listed on this card. For certain models, the dealer may have placed a label with the device serial number on the glove box. eb235a0.jpg ----------------- If you cant find it, you need 3 things

1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

2. Phone Number and Zip Code Information
  • For security purposes, we(HONDA) verify ownership by comparing the phone number, zip code, and VIN you enter with those we have on file. Unless you have updated these values through Customer Services, the phone number and zip code will be those on file at the time the vehicle was purchased.
3. Device Serial Number
  • you need the radio's serial number. since it is located on the back of the radio. your gonna need the pull the radio to get it.

Then CLICK HERE and enter the information for automated code retrieval.

------------------------------

or you can pull out the radio, take it to the service dept. of a honda dealership and ask them if then can look up the code for you. they might ask you for your vehicles VIN, so you might wanna have that written down.
i always get a marker (Sharpie) and write the code on the top of the radio. that way you can't loose it.

if not its usually looked up by the serial # on the radio which mean you will have to pull out the radio to get it.
