The alternator is usually at the top of the engine so you shouldn't have to take anything else off to get to it.

I need the steps to disassembly this machine to replace the engine chain.

you need to obtain a workshop manual that will take you through the procedure. It is unlikely that with the information you have provided that advice can be offered. You need to provide full details of make model and year for even basic assistance.. The information you ask for is not likely found here

I need to know what size sockets I need to remove the lower nuts on struts I don't want to remiove wheel and not have the right size tools

You have to remove the wheel to work on any vehicle

You need to own a full set of metric wrenches & sockets,
before you start- not ask what size a bolt is- your going to
need as well as use every tool you buy over the rest of
your lifetime

Even if someone knew the answer you provided no vehicle
or what part or bolts your going to be working on

Buy some tools, good ones Snap-on or Mac Tools
& do the job with some tools worth owning & using

What is the engine rotation on a 1998 toyota camry 2.2L

The normal rotation of the engine is clockwise. Be advised, some manufacturers have a specific procedure for how the belt is fitted on, and how the tensioner is set...You apparently have no repair manual to consult. Is it full speed ahead, then? When you get the belt on, be sure and turn the crank over at least two full revolutions to make sure the timing marks all line up again, as true. I would still recommend you check the procedure before zipping it all back together-it may save you some grief. Of course, it's up to you. If you are confident you got it right, it may be well and good.
You know, you could go to, and register for free, listing year, make, model, and engine size of the car. Then look under "repair guides" for the timing belt procedure.

Timing belt markings

Sorry Mark, It is impossible to provide you with a solution for your question because you failed to mention YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, and ENGINE SIZE. ALL of this information is necessary to provide you with the information you are seeking. Personally, I belive that if you do not know any better than that, you should probably not be messing with it.

Having trouble removing the alternator.

I belive there is a pulley that needs to be removed in order to access the alternator. It is a challenge but the bolts are all accessable it just takes a bit to figure out. I know there was one bolt I had to get at from under the car.

Stalls in gear no getup when pushing the gas replaced 2 knock sensors iac map oxygen 2 coolent sensors ecm spark plugs wires and whole distributer fuel filter valcum hoses now i dont know how to set timing...

Even you knew, before you started changing any parts,
that you didn't need to replace 10 things.

You just admitted to not knowing how to set timing or find
a problem,I knew that when I got the the second part you

You need to study vehicle systems etc & go to a repair
shop for now, that you also knew before you started throwing
parts & money at it.

You realize you provided no vehicle at all, year, make, model

1989 chevy 3500 4x4 454 rear brake drum removal. Does the axle bolts need to be removed

Can you tell me which type of axle you have?

Full Floating Axles To remove the drums from full floating rear axles, use the Axle Shaft Removal & Installation procedure in Section 7. Full floating rear axles can readily be identified by the bearing housing protruding through the center of the wheel.

Semi-Floating Axles
  1. Raise and support the rear end on jack stands.
  2. Remove the wheel.
  3. Pull the drum from the brake assembly. If the brake drums have been scored from worn linings, the brake adjuster must be backed off so that the brake shoes will retract from the drum. The adjuster can be backed off by inserting a brake adjusting tool through the access hole provided. In some cases the access hole is provided in the brake drum. A metal cover plate is over the hole. This may be removed by using a hammer and chisel.
You may have to back off the automatic adjuster before you can pull the drum from the brake assembly

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
