It is telling you the fuel system is not seeing any closed loop switching, the signal from an O2 always varies between rich and lean, back and forth, you can have 3 things going on, one the O2 is lazy or has failed, but most times that would trip a lean code, the more likely cause is a problem in the fuel control, either to rich or to lean. without the actual voltage readings from the O2 it is hard to tell you what to replace, do you have a system monitor tool?

Check engine light is on and i got error code p1133. what is that?

Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1
- Vacuum leak
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 harness is open or shorted
- Faulty Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 circuit poor electrical connection

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) activity for 90 seconds after closed loop operation has begun. The PCM determines if the front HO2S is functioning properly by counting the number of HO2S-1 Lean/Rich (L/R) and Rich/Lean (R/L) switches.

If the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) determines that the front HO2S did not switch enough times, the PCM will set the P1133 code.

replace the o2 sensor

DTC P0105-P0108, P0112-P0118, P0122, P0123, P0171, P0201-P0204, P0300-P0304, P0335, P0440-P0446, P0506, P0507, P0601, P0602 and P1441 are not set, engine speed from 1600-2450, ECT sensor over 158ºF, TP angle from 9-18%, Purge command over 36%, Purge Learn Memory over 0.86, fuel level over 10%, and the PCM detected the HO2S signal voltage switched from rich-lean or lean-rich less than 20 times in a 100 ms monitoring period.

Possible Causes:
  • Air leaks present in the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipes
  • Fuel pressure is too high (i.e., causing a rich air fuel mixture)
  • HO2S may be contaminated (due to improper fuel or silicone)
  • HO2S signal high or low reference circuit has high resistance
  • HO2S heater element has failed, or the heater circuit is open
  • PCM has failed

Codes 1133-0131-0171-0300

p1133 - o2 sensor, Insufficiant Switching, Bank 1 Sensor 1.
p0131 - o2 sensor circuit, low voltage, bank 1 sensor 1
p0171 - Lean condition, Bank 1
p0300 - Random Misfire

I would be looking at the front passenger side oxygen sensor for issues. It may be bad, it may not be plugged in, bad wiring at harness.

The random misfire may be symptomatic of the o2 sensor problem.

Code: P1133

P1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor
You will need to check the output signal from this O2 sensor, if the voltage low (.10-.25 volts) try spraying propane into the air cleaner to see if the O2 volts go up, it should go to around .75 volts, if nothing happens then the O2 sensor is bad, bank #1 O2 is on the same side as #1 cylinder
