I've posted a picture for you but according to your VIN your engine code is an R which would mean it's a 2.8 liter engine. I'm not trying to tell you that I am a no it all but just going by what you gave me. The picture is for the 4.3 liter engine. I hope this helps and good luck.
I highly recommend you get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle. The Haynes Manual has photo references that show the alignment as well as a diagram of the firing order on the Distributor. Typically the #1 is marked on the the Distributor cap and they are sequential clockwise after that. The Firing order is actually controlled by the order you connect the wires to the Distributor.
