I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The fob key works but locks only 3 doors (passenger and 2 back doors) but not the driver side door. Any idea on the problem?

This may be due to a bad actuator lock on the driver door , if you lock the doors using the inside door button and you get the same doors locking without the driver door locking then this is the actuator lock thats bad, this is a motor that controls the lock linkage, most newwer cars and trucks when this part goes bad the latch needs to be replaced as the lock motor is all part of the latch, the door panel would have to e removed and the latch replaced, good day.

It could be the power door lock motor on that door or the lock motor is not getting the signal from the module.some times the wires that run between the car body and the door break and need repairing.these are covered by a rubber tube that is fastened one end to the body the other to the door,you can see it with the door open.
