My car wont start in the mornings.1993 camry, I have a new battery, and the alt tests ok. The R indicator light on dash used to come on when you hit thebrakes, and the N and D indicator lights dont work at all. And the rear light failure warning, and air bag lights wont shut off.Plus the reverse lights wont work even with new bulbs. It had a real bad drain on the battery when I bought it but I had a new stereo installed and it got alot better. I also ripped out the alarm system and that stopped the R light from comming on when you hit the brakes. Also the trunk lid leaks down ito the backup light cavity wich probbly dosent help.

This code is related to a malfunction with the park neutral position switch, it's located on the transmission near the radiator directly behind the shift selector lever, it has a large connector with a lot of wires, at times the connectors can get corrosion on the inside, try removing the connector and check for any corrosion and clean the connectors on both the switch and the wire harness side, if that is not the case the switch should be replaced. This switch will cause a no crank condition/no start

2000 Chrysler Sebring w/year old battery.  Advise, what could have occurred when AAA jump me???  Left tiny interior light on under my mirror--battery dead.  After AAA came, I let it run

I doubt the service person did anything wrong. In today's cars with both engine and body computers, jump starting a car can be risky.
You're better off having the battery charged for an hour or so then trying to start it.
You may have to have the body computer scanned and possibly flashed to get everything working again. The body computer controls everything you mentioned. It could have lost some of the factory programming when the system was dead.

Parkin lights and headlights come on and stay on randomly. never know when it is going to happen but it always does at least 5 out of 7 days per week and battery is always dead.

According to my owners manual the lights turn themselves off automatically if you accidently left them on, to preserve the battery. I would suspect a faulty lamp control module. Not sure but I read somewhere that this is about a $300-400 part. Mechanic needs a $3000 tool to test/check it.

It sounds to me like you have a grounded positive wire going to the chasis of the car. This causes your battery to go dead. Check radio conections as this wire might be from the speakers. Good luck!!

Battery is dead alarm goes off when jumping it

The battery should be removed and charged, not jumped. If you are a AAA member, they will do it for you. If not, join AAA for $35 and the next day call them for the free service.

Needs a battery, or you have a draw pulling it low.
