Have to listen for a hissing sound while car is running. You can also try spraying carb cleaner on the one at a time. Dont load them with cleaner but kinda sparingly. When he engine idle increases you found your leaking vacum hose.

How do I change the vacuum hose on map sensor?

Check to make sure there are no cracks or leakage from the hose on either end or somewhere along the hose. If good, try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for at least 30 seconds to clear the computer. If not, could be bad sensor or incorrect one for that year / size engine.

Replace vacuum hoses in ford mustang 1997

Go to to your local parts house or dealer and purchase the hose.. they are inexpensive...the size is important..BUT> true vacuum hose is REQUIRED to perform "vacuum" duties satisfactorily..do not skimp...
please mark as helpful..Thanks..

Get the proper schematic (chilton repair manual) and replace with proper size vacuum hose, follow where they went and replace cracked ones.

Jeep top air vents and cruise control went out at the same time; is this a fuse or two separate issues?

its a vacuum hose issue. mine did the same thing and all it was is the vacuum hose on right side of the engine came loose. check all your 1/4" diam vacuum hoses under your hood

No heat 1995 chrysler LHS I replaced the thermostat, had the heater cor flushed out. just keep getting cold air out of all vents. Thank you

your heater hoses to your core are either bypassing the core or the valve is not working and stuck in the closed position.

98 Safari vent selection failure

you're right commuter, it is a vacuum hose leak or disconnect.

start from the selector switch. take the bundle of hoses at the back of the controller and feel if there is a vacuum source.( the engine should be idling).

if there is then it could be a faulty selector.

if there is none. trace the hose that went outside of the firewall.

that is the vacuum source and you should be able to trace it to a vacuum tank. look for broken hoses or rusted tank.

good luck

tnx 4 using fixya,
