I have a rough rubbing grinding sound from my front wheels its in sync with the rotation, it only does it at lower speeds, what is it??

Are the tires smooth or choppy as you look at the tread?
Run your hand along the tire tread,it should be smooth,no high or low spots.
High and low wear spots make a lot of noise on a tire.
Also,as you drive and hear the noise move the steering wheel slightly left and right,if you can change the noise at all then it may just be the wheel bearings.
Don't forget to make sure the metal inner dust shields beside the rotors are not touching anywhere on the rotors..

How and where to add freon to a1995 sedan deville

Verify ambient temperature is above 65 degrees F.

1. Safety> - safety glasses, long sleeves and gloves, (exposure to refrigerant can cause frostbite).

2. Attach hoses to manifold> assembly, (hi, lo, and fill).

3. Remove caps from service ports, (Low press. Larger tube from evaporator to accumulator - passenger side over fender well; High Pressure - smaller tube from evaporator along firewall towards driver's side). Verify service> ports are clean.

4. Attach low press. and high press hoses to proper service ports.

5. Start car>, reset low refrig code, and turn ac on high and fan on high.

6. Read gauges and compare with chart provided with gauge set.

7. If low and high press readings are both low, then system needs recharge.

8. To recharge, attach fill hose to can of R134a and slowly open low press valve>, (NOT HIGH PRESS VALVE), until low press side reads 40 psi.

9. When flow stops and pressures stabilize close valves> and disconnect manifold from service ports and refrigerant can. Replace service port caps.

Vibration on 2004 Cadillac Deville

If a hub bearing was bad, it almost always would make noise, more so when changing lanes at higher speed. Outer CV joints make a loud low pitched rattle when turning (corners). Inner CV joints raise hell at high speed- bad shake! Sway links affect cornering and clunk when hitting rough patches of road surface.
Is the vibration worse at 65 than at 50? If so, you are dealing with a wheel balance situation. Find an old time front end shop that will check the balance on the vehicle. You will have to turn off the traction control to do this or use an on-the-car wheel balancer.
If you feel it at some low speeds at it comes back at other higher speeds, then you are dealing with tire roundness. Possible more than 1. More common than we would like.

We just put a new tire rod on the front passenger side because we hit a pole, but the tire is still crooked outwards. is there a way that it might not be on all the way? the a frame was replaced too.

The tie rod may need to be adjusted to bring the tire back into proper alignment. There are actually three components to a tie rod system for these guys: an inner tie rod, an outer tie rod, and an adjuster sleeve that fits between the two. You can adjust the length of the tie rod via the adjusting sleeve. Provided the components are not rusted this is not a difficult task :) First loosen the two bolts at either end of the adjuster sleeve and then slowly turn the adjuster sleeve until the wheel is properly aligned. I generally use a large screw drive and just work carefully so as to not damage the sleeve itself. Once the wheel is sitting as it should re-tighten the bolts on the sleeve to make sure it doesn't walk itself out of alignment while driving. To recheck your alignment get a tape measure and check the distance between the tops, bottoms, fronts and rears of the tires. That's the easiest 'back yarder' way to get everything on the up and up.

Do you recharge air conditioner on upper port or lower port

you always recharge on the suction side near the compressor. wear safty goggles!!!!This is the largest line and it will have a pin valve on the line for charging.Look for a sight glass ,it will be on the high pressure line near the dryer assy,a much smaller hose-line it will also have a pin type valve like a tire valve, the site glass is used to see if you are near full charge while recharging, buy observing bubbles.. if the unit is cooling the low side or line for charging will be cold, dripping with condensation on a hot day,and frosty on a cold day.if the system is low it will be warm and dry. but if it is low enough to be less than 50 psi the compressor will not opperate.

Goes in to four wheel drive but front tires are

Look at the back of the front wheels there is 2 black pipes, 1 for the brakes that conect to the brake unit (callipers) and the other one is the vacume pipe. Most of the time it is damaged. This pipe is softer and thinner than the brake pipe. It will have a inner pipe and outer sleeve (pipe) that is loose from the main pipe, just to prtect the inner pipe. It can have a leak under that sleeve. ENJOY from Willem Potchefstroom SA

I am trying to recharge the AC system but the quick connect on the kit doesn't seem to fit the port I found. So I am trying to get a picture of the service port and where it is in the engine compartment.

There are 2 ports, a low pressure and a high pressure port. The high pressure port is larger. Follow the lines coming from the compressor. One will lead you to the high pressure, the other will lead you to the low pressure port. You may need a tool similar to a tire valve core remover to unscrew the valve core a little bit so your connector can reach it to open the port and allow charging.

How difficult to replace inner tie rod end on 06 silverado 2wd?

Not that hard, just spray the tie rod sleeve with WD40 night before and let it soak in. Remove the collier pin and and nut and hammer the old inner tie rod end out of the Track rod with a 5 pound sledge hammer. Remove the inner tie rod end from the sleeve and don't forget to mark the distance so you can place the new tie rod end at the same length. Reinstall the inner tie rod end to the Track rod and tighten the nut and replace the collier pin with a new one. Grease the fitting and go for a test drive, if the truck does not wonder then your good to go with out a alignment. Good luck and hope this helps, Note, make sure you have to right inner tie rod ends. Each side has different thread rotations.

How to recharge ac in lexus sc 400

There is an AC port near the front of the car under the hood, it's a small silver tube, maybe with a cap. Connect a recharge bottle from an auto parts store on to this port and follow the bottle's dircetions.

2000 focus air conditioning

The low side port is on a quart sized container just in front of the passenger side front tire. It is easier to access if you remove the front tire and the inner skirt.
