I believe your alternator is bad as well. Your computer will start turning off any aux. power (dash lights, stereo...) to keep the motor running which means battery isnt being maintained by the alternator.
I beleive that it is a loose ground on the dash board cluster it is very dificult to ppinpoint but everything is happening because off a loose wire causing the dash to loose power and thats why it goes dead and the speedomiters and tac go dead. I wouldnt suggest doing it urself i would take it to a mechanic to have it fixed
There is a small black box under dash by steering column that has a little red button on it. Push that button and it will reset the alarm. Whenever the power is removed from the system it will trigger that alarm and flash your lights. Easy quick fix. Box is about 4" x4" and just to the left of the column. Good luck and have a great day.
Under the dash on drivers side is the black box for the security system. If you look on the box there is a little red button. Push the button for a couple of secounds and it will click and stop your marker lights and dash lights from flashing. It is a stock anti theft part of the security system. Hope this helps.
