There is a long list of possibilities- including the obvious plugs and wires. Then there is the coil, main relay, crank sensor, and the top dead center sensor (which is under the cam - I am told). Put a bag of ice on the main relay first. Apparently these things lose connectivity when they get hot.

Engine died while driving, no spark, replaced coil, now starts, idles, runs well at low rpm, but misfires when accelerating. No check engine costs thrown. What should I check next.

Change your ignition module. The distributor is a weak point of the Honda, I will always change out the whole thing than just try the coil.

My 1998 honda civic died when i was driving it. It cranks but dosn't start it also makes a noice at the beginning could it be the fuel pump?

How many miles are on it? Did you have the timing belt changed at 90,000 miles? Is there spark to the spark plugs? Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? A broken timing belt will make the car sound alot different than normal when cranking.

Honda accord ex 2001 check engine light suddenly came on, car started to idle roughly

If it's running rough, chances are that it's misfiring. If the Check Engine light is flashing/blinking, it is definitely misfiring.
If that's the case, drive it as little as possible... Or straight to the mechanic because the more you drive it while it's misfiring, the higher the chance is of you ruining your catalytic converter.

My 1998 honda civic ex. It cranks but Engine does not start . I could not locate the fuel injectors fuse. I openned fuel line and fuel spurt out when it cranking. But I smell no gas at airfilter intake.

How many miles are on it? Have you changed timing belt? Was there any symptoms prior to non starting? Pull a spark plug see if you are getting spark. If not it is probably coilpack on distributor have it tested. Common problem I have had experienced with civics.

I was driving and the car started shaking. It feels like I lost some power in acceleration too. The check engine light came on and then started flashing after I pulled over and was checking things out. I...

Check your spark plugs. or your distributer., You may have a fouled plug or faulty/worn cap and rotor. The spark plug wires too can cause probs.

1990 Honda Civic will not start

Most of the handas have a pick up inside the distributor behind the rotor button take off the black cover inside the distributor and two screws hold it on with two wires on it. If that go's bad your car will not start i would start there

92 honda civic ex starts but won't stay running - replaced relay

well not completely sure but would suggest first giving it a shot of ether in the airbox to see if starts better. to rule out a fuel issue. then ck into distributor. have you ck'd it for spark? is it weak? is it possible the timing belt jumped time?

1994 honda civic ex

yes indeed number one see if there is any spark, if no spark look at your distributor roter first, i suggest you replace this as well if you haven't already.. you can pick them up at any auto shop for like less than 10 bucks. if it is a second hand distributor that has been sitting in a junk yard for months, chances are one of the wires are corroded or something.. get a new one if so they are only like 30 bucks and i think you get a discount if you give them your old one for the core.
