Is your battery fully charged? (do any lights work.)
If so, do you hear a loud-ish 'click' when you turn the key to start it?
If so, check to make sure your battery cables are connected tightly.
You may also change your starter solinoid if need be.
If the solinoid if clicking, sounds as thought the impellar is stuck. Try having someone turn over the car while you take a hammer and tap the starter at the same time. If the car turns over, you will have to replace the starter. You can usually get a few starts out of the tapping method before the starter fails.
There is a starter relay--probably in the relay box by the battery. Swap the starter relay with the horn relay and try to start the car. If that works, replace the relay. If it doesn't work, please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6222268-engine_doesnt_crank_turn_over .These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.
Check the ignition switch to see if it's coming apart. You will have to remove the lower trim on column. The electrical switch will separate causing your concern. Good luck.
Starter could be stuck..
If you are SURE you battery is fully charged with no dead cells..
Try --
(takes 2 peopl) -
Turn the key like you are trying to start it.
At the SAME time - smack the starter with a small hammer not too too hard..
Let me know what happens..
You have a Bad Belt Tensioner and will need a new one and Possibly a new Belt. Have the Alternator Checked also. It could have gone Bad during these Problems. If the Tensioner is Not keeping the Belt very Tight it will not allow the Alt. To charge the Battery and it will drain very fast.
Could be a broken or disconnected battery cable. If you are sure that the battery has a full charge, and the battery is connected properly (tight clean connection at the terminals) and the lights do not go on (including the brake lights when you step on the brakes) then there is a bad connection at the battery/terminal/cable for certain.
