Some valves cost $2.00, some cost $30. Most are 1 hour labor. Some are 3 hours because you have to remove a lot of parts to get to them. Then add the cost of the A/C recharge. So a guess would be $200 to $400..

If it is just the bearing that has failed then the cost will be 1 hour + the bearing cost. If it has damaged the axle then get a second hand unit from the wreckers and fit a new bearing and the cost will be second hand axle cost + bearing + 1 hour labour.

When costing the labor out on cars a simple method is to use the cost of the part at the dealer and multiply by two. Then add that to the cost when you pay.
