u sure its the problem-does car stall on deceleration--the internal vaccuum leak on it is usually from valve stayin open or gasket where it connects to exhaust--a service manual or parts store can point it out
check oil pan gasket or just tighten bolts around the oil pan also check the valve cover gasket also tighten them it can also come from the front crank shaft seal
If you are sure that you have removed everything that is holding the cover to the head, you may need to use a bit of force to get it off as it may be glued in place. If your plugs go in through the cover, they must be removed .
First thing I'd do is replace the fuel filter. If the car runs fine on level ground or downhill but struggles uphill, it's usually because a clogged filter isn't allowing enough fuel through to satisfy the engine's demand for enough to keep you at speed going uphill. Try that out - it's an inexpensive part and is usually the cause of your symptoms.
pleneme(sorry for spelling) needs to be removed . one mechanic wants $800 to do and added that he needs to remove valve covers and may need to replace vavle gaskets. other shop said 350 no mention of valve covers.still have not had it done, will update when i rob a bank. ps believe my engine is a 3.0.
If you are sure you have gotten all the bolts out then you may need to pry up on the lip of the valve cover with a flat blade screwdriver. Take care not to bend the valve cover too much. They sometimes get stuck pretty good. Good luck.
