2001 impala 3.8 liter belt size to bypass AC unit

You can also remove the a/c compressor and install a bypass pulley in its place. You can still use the standard belt this way, just run it to the bypass pulley instead of the a/c compressor. RockAuto has them at the link.

Bypass air condition belt

If you are trying to bypass the compressor for the air conditioner then you need to ensure two things.

1. That there is some way to tension that belt if the compressor is bypassed.
2. you will need to find a shorter belt that has the same physical profile. Wrap a string around the pulleys that remain and measure the length. A shop should then be able to give you a belt that will fit. Take the old belt with you to ensure it has the right profile.

Can i bypass the air compressor on my 2000 dodge intrepid

Is the air conditioning compressor locked up? If so, you can unplug the electrical connector going to the compressor. This will keep the compressor clutch from engaging and should let the pulley freewheel.

Bypass ac compressor 2006 dodge ram 3500 5.9 L diesel I need to bypass stuck ac compressor

Hi:
The easiest method to do this is to go to an auto parts store and buy a belt designed for a truck with no air conditioning. The belt will be the right size, and you just install it as normal, and bypass the compressor

Bypassing air compressor in a chevy 95 g20 van

Well if you're trying to bypass the air conditioning compressor, your original serpentine belt will obviously not work as it will be too long. Installing another pulley would really be more work that it's worth and likely cost a fair amount since you'd have to have a custom bracket made, or a mount to fit in place of the compressor. Your best bet would be to have your local parts supply look up the belt for the same make, model, year and engine specs as your vehicle but without Air Conditioning. The g20 uses all the same mounting locations for other belt driven accessories regardless of the presence of an AC compressor. Therefore, the belt should fit just fine. Also, you should spot on the belt routing diagram under the hood that it shows the optional routing for a belt without AC. (It does on mine anyway) Good luck and let me know how it goes.
