Start by removing spare tire spay penetrating oil on to latch mechanism under lower bar as it should be more assessable the pull cable hooks to a slide latch give an hour or so for fluid to work if penetrating oil does not free up latch try prying the slide to the direction of pull wiith a mechanics pry bar or long large flat tip screw driver if not remove latch mechanism from carrier bar and repair or replace.

How do i remove the battery from porsche 928

Remove rear carpet. Remove spare tire in recessed tire compartment. There will be a small hatch with a plastic white lever that you have to swing open. Once the door is open, remove ground (black) first, then the positive red side. Clean terminals and also clean ground to rear hatch from battery.
