Humming or howling from the rear axel has two possible sources. One is a wheel bearing and the other is the tires. Look at the wear pattern on the tires. If they resemble a tractor tire with uneven edges, then it is possible that the tire is making the noise. 2000 honda accord, middle brake light comes on when actuating the brake peddle but left and right brake light don't illuminate. fuses are good and O feel switch is good otherwise middle rear light wouldn't come on. any suggestions?
sounds like the wheels are out of balance, is there a slight vibration through the steering wheel at this speed? and does the problem stop if you go faster (please drive carefully)
sounds like your timing belt is a little to tight and the vibration from the belt is the humming you here loosen the belt but you may want to call the dealer for the spics on tightness of the belt . thx
