Its time to replace the clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. Its common to hear that type of sound when the clutch wears, and eventually you'll push it the clutch and your engine will still be in gear, or that hill you trying to climb is too steep and the car starts slipping backwards. Time for a new clutch, have it done right if your not comfortable doing it yourself.
Sounds like a clutch release bearing locked up, or pressure plate damage. In any case its obvious that the prinny has to come out and look inside to ascertain extent of damage. This major project requires the expertise and experience of a mechanic.

your throwout bearing is most likely

Here is what is going on. When you push in the clutch pedal you remove the connection between the engine and the transmission. At this time all the parts in the transmission stop rotating.Since the only parts in the transmission that can rotate without moving the car are the input parts we can safely assume that the noise can only be from there. This can be a transmission input bearing. Worn Synchro mechanism (allows the transmission to shift without grinding the gears)Low fluid in the tranny. Or a bad clutch component. Top off or change the fluid. If it still makes the noise you need to take it to a tranny shop.

Almost sounds like a throwout bearing problem. Either way, bring the car back and make them fix it. It will be covered under the warranty so dont let them try to convince you otherwise.
